"Okay," said King Zorrid, "we are having trouble destroying the rangers, but we can wipe out the Emergency Megazord!"
"That is a splendid idea," said Queen Zebah.
"We will send a giant monster to fight the Megazord and at the same time, they will not notice a cord that will connect to the Megazord damaging its system!"
"Yeah!" said Voltor, "let's do it!"
Focar sent a giant dragon. The news was the first to capture it. Billy was watching Angel Grove news at the time and he saw the dragon blowing fire everywhere, but the dragon wasn't hurting anyone.
"Guys," said Billy, "there is a dragon in Angel Grove. You will need the Emergency Megazord. Beware! It sounds like a trap!"
"Trap or no trap," said Alex, "we still have to go but we have to keep an eye out for anything!"
They morphed and called the Emergency Zords. They formed the Emergency Megazord. It appeared to be a punch and kick fight between the Emergency Megazord and the dragon, but the rangers did not suspect that a cord was coming from the dragon and getting ready to attach to the Emergency Megazord. As the fight continued, the Emergency Megazord and the dragon kept fighting until the cord connected to the Emergency Megazord. They felt a surge of power and their power went out.
"This is not good," said Jim.
"Captain," said Alex, "the Megazord has received extensive damage!"
The monster laughed.
"Power Rangers," said Captain, "return to base!"
"They're retreating!" said King Zorrid, "we won!"
"Alright, guys," said Capt. Mitchell, "Power Rangers never accept defeat!"
"You have a good point," said Billy, "we were at a point like this before and we only had one zord. Well, we are at that time now."
"Do you mean that we have one zord?" asked Jim.
"Actually, we have a little more than that," said Billy, "Alex, we have upgraded your powers. Alex, you have the chief powers. The chief powers had the power to shoot fire, electricity and water. It also has a laser lance. It has the ability to fly. You also have the Chief Zord. The Chief Zord is the same way. Fire, water, electricity flight, and a laser lance," said Billy, "right now, the Earth is in danger. So, Alex, give it a try. The Emergency Megazord should fix quickly, probably really soon!"
"Go get him, buddy!" said Jim.
Alex morphed and called on the Chief Zord. The dragon tried the same trick but Alex saw the cord and sliced it. His cord went haywire. The Chief Zord blasted the dragon with electricity. The dragon was worn out. The Chief Zord powered up its lance and finished the dragon. The dragon was sliced down the middle and he exploded.
"WHoohoo!" said Anna, "he's gone!"
"Good job, Alex!" said Farah from the ground.
He waved at the ranger from the top of the Chief Zord. He retired the Chief Zord and they all went to base.
"Okay, rangers," said Billy, "we have one zord. If we lose it, we lose entirely. We are expediting the repair of the Emergency Megazord so that we will have two fighting on the ground."
"I have a question," said Alex, "how do I drive two Megazords?"
"Other rangers will drive the other Megazords," said Billy, "it is more precise than one of us driving it by a remote control!"
"That makes sense," said Duane.
"Don't worry," said Ms. Fairweather, "the Emergency Megazord should be fix very soon and you will have both of them to fight with! You have my word!"
Everyone went to their quarters. King Zorrid was happy because the Emergency Megazord was temporarily out of commission. He was happy because of that minor victory.
